Welcome
voters of Port Deposit, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen,
Belcamp, Abingdon, Edgewood, Joppa & Joppatowne
It is with great pleasure to proudly serve
Harford and Cecil Counties.
“As
State Delegate I will empower constituents by educating them on the
issues that affect their lives, include them in the decision making
process by making myself continuously accessible and visible and
protect as well as uphold our constitutional and legal rights.”
My democratic
principles are simple – Advocate, Educate and Lead.
As your advocate, I will be your voice and deliver a perspective
that forces a person to think and consider alternative approaches to
solving problems. I will keep you informed by implementing
district-wide meetings before and after each legislative session.
I will maintain strong relationships with the members of the
Maryland General Assembly and the Harford and Cecil County
Delegations to forward our interests as a district and as
Marylanders.
My professional experience is valuable – Education and Economic Development.
Having served as a Policy Analyst for five years in the legislative unit of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, I have credible experience and I know how things work in Annapolis and how to get things done. Having worked as a Governor’s Policy Fellow for the Maryland State Department of Education, I have the key priorities that communities need in any leader – core values in education and economic development.
My philosophy is basic – I WORK FOR YOU.
I believe that elected officials should serve their
constituents. You are my boss and I am accountable to you. I vow to
be an accessible delegate and not a phantom who shows up every four
years looking for your support. You will see me on a regular basis
because the job of a delegate is not just for the 90 days during
session, but all year. I
promote governance via empowerment. The more you know, the better I
can serve you. Hence, you will know the location of my district
office. I need your support by voting, contributing
funds or in-kind donations and by volunteering.
My outreach is real – Teamwork among all walks of life is essential.
I am open to any opportunity to speak to any person or group, to accept an interview or dialogue on any policy positions concerning domestic violence, corporate or social misconduct and welfare, transportation or housing infrastructure, and senior citizens. I believe that to improve our lives, society and the laws that govern us, we must work outside our comfort zone and effectively strategize an approach to include the ideas of those less known or forgotten.
